The New York Times: Marc Jacobs – The Survivor
In honor of getting his fourth award from Council of Fashion Designers of America, The New York Times sat down with one of fashion world’s most influencing designers Marc Jacobs. Even though Mr. Jacobs received the famous Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, he is and has been a very controversial designer who has seen much glory and critics. The article discusses his various phases and undertakes, which have brought a lot of success and a worldwide brand emporium. Opinions of Mr. Jacobs vary but there is no question that what he has been doing is very different from others and has received a lot of attention. Even though the article strongly states that the brand has lost popularity and is not any more as forerunning as it used to be Mr. Jacobs will keep doing his own stuff his own way.
